They are divided into different categories that are called as ‘caliber’ and ‘brat’ in Persian and Arabic literature, respectively. Caliber was a group that had made ethics and campaign-specific career choice and self-indulgence and brat also defined as impoverished with no money, on the other hand people who had no interest in wealth and joined that house because of poverty and social imbalance. This study relying on comparative literature of American schools that merely doesn’t see the criteria existence of affect and affected attempt to make a comparative study of these two emerging fields within the common social and ethical implications. It seems that the main reason behind the formation of each of two groups was lack of community-based justice and social harmony. The most common social and moral characteristics of the two groups are: clemency; patience in the face of adversity, courage, generosity, support for the poor; combat skills including shooting, fighting, theft and robbery. This article also refers to common moral and social characteristics and examines the reasons behind the rise of the two groups. جوانمردی و عیاری که آن را «فتوت» نیز ترجمه کرده­اند، از پدیده­های بسیار مهم تاریخ اجتماعی ایران و سپس کشورهای اطراف آن بوده است و شیوه­ای از حیات روحی است که به نظر می­رسد ریشه های آن در ایران پیش از اسلام پایه گذاری شده است. آن ها به دسته های مختلفی تقسیم می شوند که در ادب فارسی «عیاران» و در ادب عربی «صعالیک» نامیده می شوند. عیاران، گروهی از جوانمردان بودند که اصول اخلاقی و مبارزاتی ویژه ای را برگزیده و جوانمردی را پیشه خود ساخته بودند و صعالیک هم که به صورت «الفقیرُ الذی لا مالَ له» تعریف می­شوند، افرادی بودند که بهره ای از مال و ثروت نداشتند و به خاطر فقر و عدم توازن اجتماعی به این جرگه پیوستند. در این پژوهش می کوشیم با تکیه بر مکتب آمریکایی ادبیات تطبیقی که شرط تطبیق را صرفاً وجود زمینه­های تأثیر و تاثّر نمی­داند، به بررسی مقایسه­ای این دو گروه در قالب زمینه های پیدایش و مضامین اخلاقی و اجتماعی مشترک بپردازیم. به نظر می­رسد علت اصلی تشکیل هر دو گروه، نبود جامعه عدالت محور و توازن اجتماعی بوده است. مهم ترین ویژگی­های اخلاقی و اجتماعی مشترک این دو گروه عبارت اند از: بخشندگی؛ صبر در برابر سختی ها؛ شجاعت؛ جوانمردی؛ حمایت از فقرا؛ داشتن مهارت ­های جنگی ازجمله تیر اندازی؛ نبردهای شبانه و دزدی و راهزنی. این مقاله ضمن اشاره به ویژگی­های مشترک اخلاقی و اجتماعی، به بررسی علل پیدایش این دو گروه نیز می پردازد. https://clrj.modares.ac.ir/article_5813_069090145d54bf4aa3894133f7e89873.pdf
